Trailer Hitches For Dodge By Hidden Hitch

A trailer hitch is a mechanism that is typically mounted to the rear of a vehicle under the bumper. There are 3 classes of hitches listed below for your Dodge vehicle for towing trailers. Each class is designed for a specific trailer weight range. When selecting the appropriate hitch, make sure the weight rating of the hitch is greater than the loaded weight of the trailer that will be towed. The tow vehicle capacity for weight carrying and hitch attachment will vary and will sometimes dictate the class of hitch that is needed. If you are are using your hitch for attaching accessories such as bike racks, basket carriers, wheelchair lifts, etc., make sure the tongue weight of the hitch you select is greater than the loaded weight of the hitch mounted accessory. Always consult your Dodge owner's manual for your vehicle rating.

Both class I and II hitch include draw bar, pin and clip, hitch receiver cover, mounting hardware and installation instructions. 3/4 inch shank diameter trailer hitch ball required for class I and II. Sold separately. Class I 2" x 5/8" flat Draw Bar Receiver Style.

Class I and II 1 1/4" Draw Bar Receiver Style Class III 2" receiver style (draw bar, pin and clip, hitch receiver cover are not included with class 3 hitches)

Class 1 style hitches have a 2000 lbs. gross trailer towing weight and 200 lbs. tongue weight unless noted otherwise.

Class 2 style hitches have a 3500 lbs. gross trailer towing weight and 350 lbs. tongue weight unless noted otherwise.

Class 3 style hitches have a 3500 lbs. gross trailer towing weight and 500 lbs. tongue weight unless noted otherwise.
