KwikGate is made of heavy gauge steel and finished in a gloss black powder coat finish. With the tailgate closed, it folds straight up, at a 90 degree or down for docked storage. With the tailgate opened, can be used for a step or a bed extender. Part# KG100 measures 57 inches wide by 19 1/2" tall when docked. Part# KG54 measures 54 inches wide by 19 1/2" tall when docked. Question: How does the KwikGate fasten to the truck's tail gate?
Answer: With sheet metal screws. Drilling is required. Note that none of the fastening hardware will be visible on the outside of the truck's tail gate.
Question: Will it work on a dually pickup?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Does the Kwik Gate come in other colors?
Answer: No. Our powder coated black surface is the perfect base for the KwikGate owner to repaint to their own specifications. Two illustrations above show the KwikGate painted in a red color.
Question: Will the KwikGate work with a tonneau cover?
Answer: No

Answer: Yes, but some trimming of the liner or mat will be required.
